Abstract

Se realizó  una investigación del tipo prospectivo longitudinal en la Filial de Tecnología de la Salud Simón Bolívar de Pinar del Río; con el objetivo de identificar el nivel de conocimientos sobre educación sexual en los estudiantes de las carreras de tecnología de la salud,  para ello se les aplicó un cuestionario que fue avalado previamente por un grupo de expertos, el universo estuvo integrado por 321 estudiantes de la sede central,  quedando la muestra constituida por 179 estudiantes de diferentes especialidades seleccionados al azar, los que representan el 55.76 % del universo. Se obtuvo como resultados que existen insuficientes conocimientos generales sobre sexualidad en un número importante de estudiantes,  relacionándose con edad, sexo, participación en la integración de temas de sexualidad en las asignaturas, entre otros. Por lo que se propone seguir con el desarrollo del proyecto sobre el diseño de un programa curricular sobre educación sexual para la carrera de tecnología de la salud.
