Abstract

III Congreso de Tecnología de la Salud

Se realizó un estudio mixto de 15 pacientes masculinos aquejados de osteomielitis diafisaria, tratados mediante la técnica de deslizamiento óseo fragmentario, con el uso del fijador externo cubano RALCA ®, en el período comprendido entre noviembre de 2009 y enero 2013. Se analizó la evaluación clínica y radiográfica de estos pacientes; la evaluación de los resultados se realizó a los 23 meses como promedio. Predominaron las edades comprendidas entre 31 y 40 años. El hueso más afectado fue la tibia. El rango de distancia transportada osciló de 40 a 160 mm. En todos los pacientes se logró el objetivo de eliminar la infección ósea. Se plantean las complicaciones presentadas con la aplicación de la técnica y se analizan las ventajas del método de fijación empleado.
