Abstract

III Encuentro Esperanza de Vida en la Tercera Edad

En  un  mundo  que  envejece  aceleradamente,  el proyecto  social  de  la  Revolución  Cubana  propicia  las
condiciones  para  la  educación  de  todos  a  lo  largo  de  toda  la  vida.  Siendo  fiel  al  legado  martiano,  que sustenta que  el  fin  de  la  educación  es  hacer  al  hombre  bueno  y  útil,  es  hacerlo  feliz ,  es  prepararlo  para  la  vida  (Martí Pérez ,  J.1990:33).  El  propósito  de  esta  conferencia/taller  es  comparti r  algunas  conside raciones,  respecto  a  los programas  universi tario s  con  adultos  mayores,  que  ayuden  a  reflexionar  acerca  de  cómo  durante  la  puesta en práctica  de  los  mismos,  la  actividad  pedagógica,  quizás  mejor  decir,  actividad  gerontagógica,  puede  apoyar  el desarrollo  personal  de  los  adultos  mayores  y  contribuir  así  a  su  preparación  para  vivir  sus  vejeces,  buenos, útiles y felices.
