III Encuentro Esperanza de Vida en la Tercera Edad

El acelerado proceso  de envejecimiento  poblacional, demanda la búsqueda de alternativas que potencien, a lo largo de toda la existencia, la utilización y el desarrollo de las potencialidades humanas  -pensar, sentir,  actuar creativamente,  convivir,  redescubrir  el mundo y la dinámica de sus relaciones recíprocas-  para  una  vida  más plena y de mejor calidad en correspondencia con ese postulado y en el ámbito de la labor extensionista, la cátedra de  estudios sobre la adultez mayor, conjuntamente con el club del  bonsai isla de la juventud, realizaron un proyecto  de investigación acción que inculara a un grupo de adultas mayores al arte  del bonsai.  a partir de considerar la necesidad que posee este segmento poblacional de actividades que estimulen  la creatividad, favorezcan la socialización y eleven su autopercepción de utilidad, así  como el valor del arteterapía en el proceso de  la terapia ocupacional, se desarrollaron  talleres  de  aprendizaje  y  desarrollo  de  este  arte  milenario durante el curso  2011-12. el objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar las distintas fases de ese proceso y los testimonios de las participantes.
