Satisfaction with the Information Search Library Service at Vladimir Ilich Lenin General University Hospital

Introduction: The primary objective of any library is to efficiently meet users' information requests.
Objective: To describe the satisfaction of users who utilized the information search library service.
Methods: A descriptive, observational study of the service provided at the library of Vladimir Ilich Lenin General University Hospital was conducted from January to December 2023. The study population consisted of 359 users who utilized the information search service and consented to participate in the research by allowing the collection of data on their requested searches.
Results: Findings showed that 359 searches were requested in 2023, resulting in the retrieval of 8,100 documents. The Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty submitted the highest number of requests (120; 33.43%); the most frequently requested topics were maternal conditions (122), followed by neonatal conditions (102). Regarding satisfaction with the services provided, 94% of users expressed satisfaction.
Conclusions: It was found that the majority of users were satisfied with the librarian's behaviour and the service provided, particularly regarding the up-to-date nature of the bibliography supplied.
