Paciente miope de 18 años que acude a consulta solicitando cirugía refractiva. En el examen biomicroscópico de la córnea, se aprecian vesículas y bandas en la membrana de Descemet y endotelio, sugestivo de distrofia polimorfa posterior (DPP).Se realizó examen ocular completo: agudeza visual, refracción, topografía, paquimetría, queratometria, y microscopia endotelial. Un recuento de células endoteliales bajo puede constituir una contraindicación para la cirugía refractiva corneal en casos de DPP por el posible riesgo de descompensación endotelial
