Situación de la lepra en el municipio 10 de Octubre (ene./2001-dic./2008).
Abstract
La lepra acarrea dificultades en su detección debido a su diversidad de expresiones clínicas y su baja prevalencia, que contribuye a que se realicen diagnósticos erróneos y tardíos, y no se piense en la lepra como posible diagnóstico. Como objetivo general se presenta: valorar la situación del diagnóstico precoz de la lepra en el municipio de 10 de Octubre (2001-2008). Comprende un estudio descriptivo longitudinal retrospectivo. Con un universo que estuvo conformado por 89 pacientes y una muestra de quince pacientes positivos al diagnóstico. Se realizó la investigación con los pacientes con enfermedades dermatológicas sugestivas de lepra, procedente de las ocho unidades de atención primaria de salud del municipio 10 de Octubre, en el período comprendido de enero de 2001 hasta diciembre de 2008.Summary
