Abstract

La  tuberculosis constituye un importante problema de salud. A pesar de las medidas de prevención y de erradicación de la enfermedad, más de 1/3 de la población mundial está infectada. El diagnóstico suele ser complicado por la variedad y poco específicos que puede ser los síntomas y por la dificultad de adquirir muestras útiles para el análisis microbiológico. Se presenta un caso clínico-imagenológico de un paciente de 37 años con dolor lumbar crónico y fiebre ocasional de etiología desconocida. Se le realizaron estudios de  tomografía (TAC) e imágenes de resonancia magnética (IRM). Se diagnosticó tuberculosis pulmonar con secuelas y complicaciones extra-torácicas. La vigencia del tema motivó a los autores a presentar  el caso, como parte de un curso optativo para contribuir con el aprendizaje de los estudiantes de medicina y personal de salud en general, en enfermedades que pueden simular infinidad de patologías.

Jorge Ortiz Roque, Hospital Docente Clínico-Quirúrgico"Hermanos Ameijeiras"

Graduado de medicina en 2002. Especialista de 1er Grado en MGI como miembro del plan de exepcional rendimiento integral. Posterior realizo segunda especialidad en hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras. Laboré 8 años en Clínica 43. Los dos ultimos años como jefe del servicio en funciones. Actualmente trabajo en el Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras, como especialista en Imagenología

Soy profesor auxiliar,e investigador agregado.

Yanae González Aquino, Pediáttrico de Centro Habana

Especialista en MGI e Imagenología, Profesora Instructor. Desde que se graduo en 2007 labora en Hospital pediátrico de Centro habana, fue jefa del servicio por un año.

Avelino Silva Coñuel, Hermanos Ameijeiras

Graduado de la escuela Latinoamericana como médico general. Acualmente residente de 3er año de imagenología en hospital Ameijeiras.

André Rolando Romero González, Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras

Graduado como médico general en la Universidad de Colombia. Acualmente residente de 1er año de imagenología en hospital Ameijeiras.
