Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare, progressive soft tissue infection with destructive power that causes necrosis of the skin, subcutaneous tissue and fascia. It is most frequently diagnosed between the fourth and seventh decade, with a predominance in men. The case of a female patient is presented with the interest of socializing a curious case of a patient diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis treated at the Tiberio Evoli Hospital of Melito di Porto Salvo. Reggio Calabria, Italy. The lethality of necrotizing fasciitis is a challenge for physicians because it is a progressive, difficult to diagnose and potentially fatal disease that requires timely intervention and effective treatment.
